What are the pros and cons of protecting endangered species?

Pros for cloning endangered animals/species?

  • doing an inquiry at school, it's half done. i just need some more pros and cons. in need of pros more than cons, but anything will help. and your opinion on the subject :) thanks

  • Answer:

There are no pros. None. Zero Nada. Sorry but true. But cons are many. It is useless except for further research and expensive too. It will also reduce diversity and variability in domestic and wild species leading to the same problems seen in monoculture agriculture and fake forests versus wild forests.Concentration of diseases, parasites, insect infestations and other "pests"

Theoretically, nothing would go extinct. Selective breeding meaning that you could genetically determine which individuals were least likely to have predispositions to inbreeding depression and/or diseases and clone those only. Sorry, but the cons still out way the pros by a lot.
