How to bypass a GPS Tracker on your car?

• So I just got a Camaro SS for my senior year in highschool but my dad said he is going to watch how fast I go. He put this little chip that goes in right below me left leg and it sends him text messages Everytime I get above 75MPH and shows him everywhere I go in the car. Last night I came home and I unplugged it just to see what would happen but I'm sure he'll find out when I start the car and he gets a text message saying its unplugged. It connects to cell phone towers and I was wondering if there's something I can do other than unplugging it to make it quit working lol..

  There is a very simple way to avoid this: Buy your own car (for cash, if you get a loan to pay for it then it's the banks car not yours) and pay for your own insurance and then you can do what you like without being tracked. He's given you a car, with fairly minimal restrictions on how you use it. Be grateful for that rather than try to trick him. Personally if I found my son was trying to bypass a tracking device like that I'd take the car away again, he clearly wasn't ready for the responsibility. Hell if you aren't able to ignore some idiot reving his engine you shouldn't even be driving a golf cart. That said if it's a dumb tracker then 1 or 2 layers of foil over the GPS antenna and it will never get a GPS signal but will probably just about manage to talk to the cell towers. It will think it's parked somewhere under cover. Too much foil and the cell signal is blocked making it obvious it's been disabled. A more advanced tracker will see that it's moving from either the cell signals changing or a built in motion sensor. At that point it will know that it's been tampered with and report it.
