How do you file a complaint to Disneyland?

How to formally file a complaint in an apartment complex? What happens after the complaint is filed?

  • I am about to lose it with my upstairs neighbors. It sounds like at least 6 people are stomping and running across their apartment and YELLING all night until around 2am. It wakes me up. It wakes my sister up. And it wakes my daughter. We work early. I go to college (and its the last few weeks of semester so I have finals up the a** right now). And my daughter is a pre-schooler who needs her rest. I have met three of them before. They have no children. They all look like they are in their mid-twenties. But they barely speak any English. They all look like they are from Korean descent. I have asked politely for the noise to stop, but they played "Fob" and acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. I am going to file a complaint in the morning, but what can I expect? What happens after I file a complaint? They get a warning? A slap on the wrist? What if it continues? Do I have to keep filing complaints? Moving is not an option for me at the moment. And I am on a year lease.

What sounds loud on an apartment ceiling, they cannot hear at all upstairs. Is there not a "must have a carpet rule", maybe invite one of them to listen

Usually there are rules in the contract. Where I live it is 10pm .. no loud noises. . I had a problem once - for one time I let it go. Loud music. But went on for days and hours. I complained ... never happened again. Also, I took my video camera with sound and recorded some of it in my bedroom pointed at the ceiling.. I Included a CD with my complaint. . Management here is very strict. But with the bad comes the good. They take care of problems like that especially since I pay on time every time for years. If I continued to complain with evidence they would be giving a 30 day notice for breach of contract to the offenders.

Well, now I know where my upstairs neighbors, the Stompers, went. Sadly, there really is nothing the landlord can do. I mean he can tell them to stop stomping and be quiet after 10 pm, but there's no real way to enforce it. We ended up moving out, then our upstairs neighbors moved down into our apartment for some reason after we left, and then they got noisy upstairs neighbors. Karma. Our former apartment manager told us that our former upstairs neighbors now understood what we were talking about. Before that they thought we were a couple of cranks.

your first step is to ALWAYS contact the building manager or landlord and you should speak to them in person and immediately mail them a letter detailing the complaint as well and keep a copy for your records.... it is the manager/landlord's responsibility to try to keep his tenants in compliance with noise rules. If the manager/landlord takes NO action or the tenants continue to be disruptive even after being contacted by the manager/landlord (who should ALSO write to the tenants telling them to keep the noise down and a copy of HIS letter to THEM should also go to you as proof that at least he made contact with the tenants. If the noise continues, the next step would be to call the manager/ landlord and inform them that you are calling the police and then - - call the police. The manager/landlord must start eviction proceedings on anyone who violates any rules of the building on a continual basis... be prepared though because most evictions take a minimum of 3 months to complete once started....
