Does your medical residency have to be at a medical school?

I'm trying go for a Medical School in USA, after the MD degree can I follow my residency in any other country?

  • I am from Sri Lanka, doing my Pre-Med degree in Sri Lanka. I hope to enter a medical school in USA, but after the MD degree I wish to come back to Sri Lanka and work here. Can anyone tell, Can I work in any country without the residency or can I follow residency in Sri Lanka?

What makes you thing you can enter a Medical school in the USA? There are very few seats available in USA Medical Schools for foreign students, and the cost would be outrageous.

yes ..u can...when u make a visa for us...there is a student visa after you finish your studies you can come back anytime
