Chemical engineering or medicine?

What should I take up-Medicine or Engineering?

  • I just gave my class X board exams and got exceptionally good marks.. I am inclined towards biology as the human body fascinates me. But the time duration and the financial drain are scaring the hell out of me.. I belong to a family of engineers and almost everybody is advising me not to take up medicine.. I am really confused!! also engineering takes up only 4 years while medicine takes up 10 years give or take.. please help me.. I find bio better than physics(maybe it's because of the teacher)

    Listen to your heart! Who cares what your family tradition is like? And don't worry: studies can be financed and will pay off a-thousand-fold afterwards. Ask for on-the-side jobs for students right from the start. Jobbing at a hospital is the right sector for you -- and yes: they desperately need students there, who work for them at low costs. That will finance your studies.
