What monitors are good for gaming and are resonably cheap?

Need help with a graphics card hooked to 4 monitors and only 3 in surround gaming and the 4th for what ever?

  The monitors look way too wide and the display looks "stretched" rather than natural. The gaming GPU is awesome but it is about a foot long so you will need to have a fairly long case to fit it in. You might have to move your hdd down a few notches so it doesn't come into contact with the back end of the GPU. The GPU is a double video card and therefore would require more power to run, espacially with four monitors so a 1100 watt PSU would probably be best to use to ensure enough power is free to support your other hardware, as well as addons and interanl fans etc. If 1100 watts is too high then don't go below 850 watts and you might have to use a wall outlet socket rather than a powerboard to power your PC. Hopefully you have a decent motherboard and CPU and plenty of internal fans etc..even though the details claim the GPU to be 35C cooler operation (than what?). Also, your ram should be more than 4gb, you'd need about 16gb for good long play. There is a program called SandboxIE which is similar to macbook but is for Windows so you can have four windows going with different applications. You don't clone the display, you just have all monitors display as one then you shift the sandboxes into view of each monitor. There is optional Software with the install disk particularly "Asus GamerOSD software" which causes preoblems not only for this card but every other video card produced by Asus. Don't install it. It does nothing worthwhile, anyhow. Lastly, if you are expecting some sort of super dooper explosive video quality for playing 32 bit games then you will be sadly disappointed unless you reduce the resolution and then the screen will be too big for that resolution. Edit - Ervin says only supports 2 monitors, not so sure yet, could be right. Also, this video card does take up 3 slots so make sure you don't have anything that will ompede installation like a sound card or network card or other. You will have to allow an extra card slot so the fans have "breathing" space. Asus has rated this card as 80+ meaning that it may get as hot as 80C or higher.
