Where do they buy their stock?

Where can I buy stock with out depositing a large sum?

  • I would just like to buy a few stocks but places like etrade want you to fund your account with 500 dollars. Places like oneshare charge more for the cheesy print out then he cost of the stock. I just want to buy some stock. I dont want to put alot of money on an account to just sit there.

  • Answer:

If you believe that $500 is too expensive to open an account and purchase securities then you SHOULD NOT be buying stock, Although one can start investing with $500, it is not a sufficient amount to begin a real investment program. The "deposit" that is required does not "just sit there" it is used for the purchase of whatever security you choose. It is included in your purchase amount.

You dont need to deposit a big sum if you want. Check the stock prices that you want to buy, calculate the sum and deposit such money in your trading account with some brokerage charges. If the broker is saying to you deposit more money then leave it and open a new demat account and trade the stock. Also, close the old one account.
