Fact is, it sound like your friend wouldn't believe the evidence if she saw it herself.

There are many history books (not novels) which feature the holocaust, some containing photographs taken as the Allied troops enterd the death and concentration camps, showing horribly thin starving people. So it is not hard to prove that about 6 million Jews were slaughtered. It may interest you to know that the Nazis also targeted other groups such as Gypsies and members of the Slavic races - about 9 million of them were also slaughtered. Anne Frank's diary was no hoax, it was preserved by her father after she died from illness in the appalling conditions in the camp. Thankfully her father survived to be able to present the evidence to the world.
