How to send links?

Can you guys teach me how to tame a Parakeet and/or send me some links to websites?

  First you have to let the bird get used to you and it's new home. If you push the bird into being tamed to quick you may have problems. It may get scared and not trust you. Where did you get it? The pet store would ask if you wanted it's wings clipped. That does make it easier for it to tame. After it is used to you-then you can start sticking your hand in the cage-put your finger under it's tummy above its feet and tell the bird to "step up." It should step up onto your finger. After it gets used to this then you can try to bring it out of the cage- see if it will sit on your finger, your shoulder. You can try hand feeding it treats. You can also try getting the bird to sit on your finger-open the cage door with the other hand and see if it will fly in. It's not that hard and they are very sweet. I've had two boys in the past-not at the same time though. The first one was yellow and green. The other two- blue. Now I have a girl. When they get a little older their nose (above their beak) will either turn purplish/blue (boy) or brownish pink (girl). That's how you tell the difference. Have fun!!!
