What is the best amplifier chip available?

Is Amplifier for Sub-woofer plugged to motherboard?

  • Where is the Amplifier for a sub-woofer placed??On the computer motherboard??Somewhere on the sub-woofer? Sorry if I sound naive, what I mean, when one buys an amplifier for the subwoofer on his computer, where he fixes it? I googled the image for it and it shows an IC circuit/Chip kind of thing so I thought it must be fixed to the mother board. If so does the motherboard carry a socket for it?

  • Answer:

An Amplifier on the motherboard is not feasible. you can get excellent sound cards from which a connection can be given to external amplifiers. Try Creativelabs audigy Value or ASUS Xonar DG or Diamond extreme USB sound card. I had used all of them and all are of excellent quality. The Diamond extreme USB sound card gives 7.1 surround sound.

An Amp would draw too much power from the computer. Bad idea. You need to make your own way to plug in a Amp indoors. I need to do this too but I never looked up the details on how to. Just search google "How to hookup an amp indoors"
