How to boost bass in headphones?

Whate are some high quality headphones with good bass?

  • I dont have much of a budget because i buy headphones on ebay so i get better ones for cheaper and was wondering what headphones have noise cancelling, wont let the people near me hear what im hearing, MASSIVE bass i heard some headphones need more power so i dont mind buy a used amp online for like 10-25 if anyone has any recommendations for amps in case you reccomend a powerful headphone, something With ALOT of bass im a total bass head and i dont mind getting an amp to boost the bass, thanks! :) P.S - no bose, beats by dre, skullcandy ive owned them all before so just a high quality pair of headphones with supreme bass and a good amplifier to boost the bass if its needed for the headphones, thanks!

  • Answer:

Sony MDR XB500 - headphones, audio technica ATH-M50 and audio technica WS55 dubstep. the sony extra bass headphones i have listened too at a sont store and they have AMAZING bass. but only bass. the ath-m50's have very good bass, and the ws55 dubstep are well.... made for dubstep. i dont know what says they have good bass. oh yes and audio technica make amazing headphones, i strongly suggest to get audio technica, but the sony headphones are great too and alot cheaper. also, do you use a mp3 player alot when listening to headphones? beacuse if you love bass, you may really want to to get a sony walkman e-series. they have a feature called clear bass which makes the need for a amp to boost bass redudant- it does it the job nicely. very nicely. which is why i have 2 off them. im must stress also, that the clear bass features makes BIG difference, its not just a bit of extra bass. ive blown many a persons mind with the difference between an ipod and walkman when it comes to bass.

If REAL quality is an issue, please go for REPUTABLE brands only such as B&W, Sennheiser (most affordable), Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Audio-Technica, Etymotic or Beyerdynamic. Things like Klipsch, Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Philips are ONLY "okay-ish" indeed.
