How long is a typical call back for a job?

How long should I wait for a manager to call me back about a job?

  • I applied to the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf recently, and I called the hiring manager yesterday. She asked me questions about my availability and what kind of position I'm looking for. It was a very optimistic and happy conversation and felt good. She told me she would review my application and call me. How long should I wait for her to call? Should I call if it starts taking more then a few days?

  • Answer:

I would wait about a week and then call the hiring manager just to make them dig it up and remind them about you. Calling would show that you are really interested and dedicated to the job which is never a bad thing. I'm going through the same thing and am going to call later today! I hope this helped!

Other answers

You could call her maybe once more in about a week. If they need a person and they want you they will call you until they get you. It's not like they forgot who you are or something. If they do not call you they likely found someone who more closely fitted their requirements.
