Do you get paid for training hours in a new job?

Job. No hours. What do I do? Help. Por favorrrr?

  • I got a job at my friendly neighborhood Waffle House. I worked six days in training. The last time I worked was 5-4-12. I've gotten one call since, and they wanted to get me to work third. I have NOT been paid for my hours? What do I do? & should I just look for a new job because these people are SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Thanks for your input!

  • Answer:

Ususally if you are scheduled little or no hours its because you are not good at your job, or not fully trained well enough to do your job well. Go in and ask for a few more hours and ask what you need to inprove on in order to keep recieving the hours. Ususally you get paid for your hours every 2 weeks, or sometimes even monthy.

Other answers

I would go there ask why you haven't been paid and when you can expect to be paid. If you don't get an answer call or stop into your local unemployment office and ask them what you need to do. Then after receiving your pay I'd quit. Meanwhile look for a different job.

You need to ask around at your place of employment to see if paychecks have been issued yet. It is illegal to keep your money that you worked for.
