What is a chronological resume?

What is a "designed resume"? I really want this job, please help!?

I really need some help if anyone knows anything about resumes and portfolios. I'm a starting out graphic designer, and I just applied for a full time graphic design job that could be the answer to all of my debt and problems. I got a response back same-day (that shows they're interested right?), but this is what it said. "Please send me some samples of your work and do you have a designed resume to send?" What is a designed resume? Does that mean he wants a cool resume with graphics and things on it? The other thing I'm thinking is that when I first sent in my resume I had to cut/paste it into a box and send it that way. So does he just want the word-document formatted resume? What does this mean, please help!!!!
