How can I change prompt interval to more than 24 hours?

I was quoted 2.5 hours from Toyota dealership to change out shifter assembly, it took me 24 minutes?

Why do they quote 2.5 hours if an amateur got it done start to finish with over 2 hours to spare. I had no manual and have never fixed this before. another toyota dealership quoted me 2 hours. Do dealerships rip you off like this on all their labor?? (I even took a couple minutes to get my daughter some food ready)

Because you are working for yourself not a big company. The dealership has to pay the mechanic, the shop foreman, the manager, the bookkeeper, the secretaries, pay the rent, advertising & to make a profit. Plus they are greedy.
