I miss middle school and feel like life is moving too fast?
-
summer just started for me and I'm going to be a freshman in high school. wow, high school. I couldn't imagine that I'm gonna finally be in high school... and I want to go back to middle school. middle school is like as if everybody is close to each other, everybody knew each other and school wasnt that hard... if you screw up in high school, its game over but in middle school, not really. and I don't mean to sound immature, but I dont want to grow up. I wanna be forever young. I feel as if me, the environment around me, and people are growing up too fast, and moving on. yes, "moving on" is what people tell me to do, but I can't accept it, I don't wanna leave my friends back, I KNOW for sure that some of my really good friends are getting split up with me and I'm not looking forward for that... i just want to be in middle school. and I always thought that I hated school, but no, I REALLY want to go back, I can't imagine waking up in the morning and not going to my middle school anymore.... in the next three months, I have to wake up and be prepared for a whole nother world.... I know that you'll get more opportunities but still, Im gonna miss the familiar hall ways and the faces of my friends and teachers back in junior high... what do I do?

Answer:
Yeah, I am in high school now almost graduating. I feel that life is short, and time flies too fast. I feel kinda sad to graduate and scare at the same time because what am I going to do in life, going to college and getting a job. I don't want to grow up either.

Let things be. I remember the feeling all to well but staying in the past is not good. Everyone moves forward. The only thing you can do to achieve closure is by visiting there every now and then. It'll be ok hun. Try to enjoy the present.

I know how you feel. I'm in college now, but I know what you mean. You sound similar to me. I really don't like change too much. I was kind of freaked out about high school, just like all the stuff you said. But you know what? I look back and I miss it. Once you get to high school, you won't miss middle school too much. Trust me. What I found myself doing was every year I would be like, "I miss last year so much." When I was a senior I missed my junior year, and so on. But honestly, there really is nothing you can do but accept it. I know it's hard to see people moving on. It used to make me sad, and sometimes it still does. But it is a part of life. Plus, the good thing about high school is that you'll get to meet new people, and a lot of people feel the exact same way about starting high school, so you're not alone. Hope this helps!
