Is there a neat way to do contextual logging in a concurrent system?

Laptop system wipe restart virus?

• Hiya I have a asus notebook computer that I think must have a virus on it. It gets as far as the windows log in page and won't log me in, I press user and it says logging in then logging out straight away. I can't get through to the desktop using any of the safe modes, only thing I can find is the advanced wndows options but I don't know what to press. The options are as follows: Safe mode Safe mode with networking Safe mode with command prompt Enable boot logging Enable VGA mode Last known good configuration Directory services restore mode (windows domain controllers only) Debugging mode Disable automatic restart on system failure Start windows normally Reboot Return to OS choices menu. This laptop was bought in cambodia in pnhom penh and they put all the stuff on the computer then such as windows and the virus guard etc. So I do not have any windows cd or any recovery cd at all, just the laptop. Can anyone advise me what to do? I think there is a virus on there, there's nothing important on there so eveyrthing can be wiped, is there a way I can do this without taking it into a shop, just back to factory settings or whatever by doing some sort of reboot on the start up.   If you want to wipe your hard drive clean go to this link below download it and burn it to c.d., you'll have to know someone who will let you use their computer so you can download it.
