Do I have Growth Hormone Deficiency?

Is growth hormone deficiency a disorder of pituitary function?

  • I really want to Join the military but I have growth hormone deficiency. I took shots and I don't need them anymore. These are the standards.Current or history of acromegaly, including, but not limited to gigantism or other disorders of pituitary function (253), is disqualifying. First, does anyone know if this is a dq? Does it include GHD?

  • Answer:

Yes, growth hormone is produced in the pituitary gland, so deficiency of GH would be disqualifying. Sorry about that.

I would try to join, as a retired soldier I have no idea what they are looking for and the worst they could say to you is no, so go for it.
