How can i be more motivated?

How can I become motivated to lose weight? And what should I eat?

  • Hello all :) I'm a 19 year old female, around 160 pounds. I hate it. I guess I fell victim to the Freshman 15 phenomenon; I feel extremely pudgy and unhappy with my body. I would like to be around 130. I think my biggest problem is my snacking (more like binging) and my lack of exercise. At school I at least walked but at home I am only inside. I do not have a car to go to a gym. I know I could go outside and run, but I have so much trouble getting myself to get outside and do that. I don't like the idea of passersby watching me sweat and pant; at least at gyms everyone is doing the same thing. As far as food, I am a vegetarian, but I have so much trouble not eating junk. I always end of eating badly and telling myself I'll have a fresh start tomorrow. Also, I don't cook my own meals so I feel like it is so hard for me to control what I eat :/ There is just so much pressure, especially at my age, to be fit. Which is good, I guess. But as I look around me and I am surrounded by these beautiful, skinny girls I feel so stressed and I just end up compensating by eating more. I eat when I'm bored, when I'm sad, when I'm lonely. Eating is my friend and my worst enemy. Any advice?
