Do you have some advice on bruising behind the knees?

Need advice about injuries in a car accident.?

  • I was in a car accident this passed week. I went to the ER and her insurance company is going to handle the bill. It's been 4 days since the accident and my right knee is swollen tho there is no bruising. The car rear ended me and I the damages done to my bumper was minimum but since I am so short when I apply my brakes my right knee touches the dash in order to stop properly, When she coiled into the back of my car I felt my knee cap shift to the left and it's painful. I had to take all this week off work because I do heavy construction work and my boss if afraid I will get hurt at work. Should I return to the ER and tell them walking on my knee is painful and It is causing me to miss days of work, which I can't afford right now. The ER did an xray on my knee and a cat scan. It showed that my knee was fine. Tho I talked to a specialist and they described it to me like every knee has a jell cap sol in it and when you damage it, that will cause your knee to be swollen without bruising. He told me the liquids in your knees don't show up on a xray. Can I possibly go after her for time and suffering? I'm missing to much work and my bills are going to pile up all because a girl wanted to text and drive. I was completely stopped when she hit into me, If you have any additional advice on what I can do about this. I can use it. Thank you all

  • Answer:

I would talk to an attorney, preferably a personal injury type, as there are a lot of variables that can be dependent on local and state laws.
