Is it a good time to start a career in IT?

Time to start thinking of a new career.?

• so i hate my job. yea everyone does but i am just not very good at my job. i am a mechanic for bmw. its a decent job . i know guys who make a very good living but its just not for me. im not making much money and you really cant move up in the biz.i went to vocational school and have been doing this for 5 years now. i am going back to college at the end of the year and am starting to make a list of jobs that i could look into. i dont want a commission pay job. i work well under direction. i dont mind it being somewhat repetitive . not take a toll on my body. im tired of cut up hands and aching back. not too stressful. something that gives you room to grow and move up. no labor. im willing to work with my hands but only alittle bit. no dealing with customers. nothing in sales. regular hours would be nice. i love cars so im still considering my plan out of high school to be an automotive engineer. i have also considered something in computers, medical field not really my thing but i have looked into medical lab work and radiology work.. i love nature . something that requires a degree and not a diploma or a piece of paper awarded to me. once again im just looking for things i can research and learn about
