How to make keyboard act as joystick?

My keyboard isn't working?

• Now, I don't want any funny answers like, "if your keyboard won't type, how did you manage to post this?" Simple. I used another computer. Back to the question.. My laptop keyboard isn't working. When I type in a letter for, say, a google search, something random pops up. Like "w" exits a tab. Very annoying problem. I've got a feeling that I might have pressed something on accident to make it act up, bit I can't figure out what it could be. Sorry if this wasnt very helpful, I am definitely NOT a computer person, so I can't tell you much more than this. Not sure if this is helps, but the computer is a Dell inspron.. 1500 or something like that. Sorry about the lack of information, but you people are smart.
