Dissolving metformin HCl tablet in water?
-
Is it okay if I dissolve 500 mg of metformin HCl (diafat) in water? It is a tablet, by the way. According to MIMS.com, it should be taken with food. Answers are very much appreciated. Thank you. :)

Answer:
Dissolving the tablet will not affect the way the drug works. The worst that can happen is that it might taste awful and give you an upset stomach or diarrhea.
