Has anyone ever been to Holiday World in Indiana?

Where should we stay when traveling to Holiday World in Indiana?

  • We are going to Holiday World this weekend and already have reservations at a hotel, but it didn't get great reviews. I would love some recommendations for places to stay with our family of 5. (2 adults kids 10,8,7) Any tips on how to get the most out of our visit would be greatly appreciated as well!

  • Answer:

You can go to yahoo maps and use the feature "find business" and the word hotel and this pops up: http://maps.yahoo.com/#q=452+E+Christmas+Blvd%2C+Santa+Claus%2C+IN+47579-6152&conf=0&start=1&lat=38.30340879500075&lon=-86.72538757324219&zoom=11&mvt=m&trf=0&tt=Hotel Hover over the locations you're interested in to see what their reviews have been. The most favorable were for Lake Rudolph Campground (they do have family cabins), Stone's Motel, and Harvest Moon Bed & Breakfast. The only tip I might have is that Patoka Lake, 30 miles to the northeast, is a great place to rent a pontoon. They do have a beach and IN State Park, if you want to include those on your trip. Also, 4 Seasons lodge/cabins is a very nice place to stay. Here's some links: 4 Seasons: http://www.patoka.com/ Gilligans Boats: http://www.gilligansboats.com/ I did think of one other thing: the Lincoln boyhood National Memorial is fairly close by (although your kids are fairly young - it may not be your thing): http://www.nps.gov/libo/index.htm
