How to get videos from camcorder to computer?

Got a new camcorder yesterday - a panasonic dc1 - today i tried to upload my videos to the computer but it doesn't seem to work even with the cd software that came with the camera When I try to copy the videos from the camera to the computer this message appears: Cannot continue the operation because the file or foder is being registered. I uninstalled the program and installed it again but still the message appears so I am unable to get any of the videos onto the computer please help thankyou

I would suggest taking out the SD card/ or storage device (if it has one) and transfer footage from your computer that way. If you can't do that, go on the Panasonic website and see if they have the drivers for your particular camera, as this may be the problem. Best of Luck!
