How to parse single xml node in windows phone?

Should I wait for Windows Phone 8?

  • Background: I am currently a happy Windows 7 user. I am also very tech savvy. I have looked at Windows 8, but unlike earlier versions of Windows, I am not convinced about it and may not be an early adopter (I started using Windows 7 at the Beta version). I will also be buying a tablet in the next 6 months, and assume it will be an android, but I might consider the new Windows 8 tablets. Question: I am planning on upgrading my phone soon (I currently have a very old original Iphone, and want to get away from my last apple product), and am looking at the good deals on Windows 7 phones. However, I am wondering if I should wait until the Windows 8 phones come out. I am not a "true" smart phone user as I do not pay for a data plan and so can only use the features when in wifi range. However, I like being able to check my email, have an internet browser, and use some of the apps. I am also looking for a smaller phone and one with a decent camera. Since I will probably never use the phone to its fullest potential, is it worth the wait and the extra cost (budget is a factor) to get a windows 8 phone or should I capitalize on the good deals on windows 7 phones? Also, if I plan on getting an android tablet is my best bet to get an android phone as well? Thanks

  • Answer:

I am pretty sure that, windows phone devices that are already out there will be upgraded to WP8. If you are a windows 7 user, my best bet will be to get a win8 tablet at the end of the year. I would get a Nokia Lumia Windows phone, as these phones are very good. They are quick and the apps that nokia have created are really good. IF you stick with windows, and not get an android tablet, it will be a far better way to work - as you can get skydrive to sync all your work from your tablet straight to your computers and your windows phone

windows phone is NOTHING like windows computers they are very unpopular, and microsoft has lost much of the market to Android and iOS... even Blackberry and Symbian the drawback with windows phone is the MAJOR lack of apps and development by 3rd party companies. honestly if you want a smartphone, it would be the last choice of a long list of OS choices for phones also ALL the major wireless companies: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint REQUIRE data plans for any smartphone on their network, so just not getting a data plan is not gonna work.
