Whats a good first phone for a 13 year old girl. iPhone 4 or blackberry 9300 ?

Wow i was 14 when i got my first phone and it was a straight talk phone and it sucked but i was still happy to have a phone i am 15 now and still have the same phone but almost lost is millions of times, i think it would be smart to get her a cheaper phone so she can learn to keep up with it and to get use to having a phone then get her a better one for christmas and then she will be really happy and think it is an awesome present but if u already told her u are getting her one of those phones then i would get her the iphone one of my friends has one and it is awesome
