What size longboard should I buy?

So I've pretty much chosen the board. Abec 9 bearings, nice concave, pintail blah blah blah. Its a good setup for carving, bombing and cruising which is what I want pretty much. Just wondering though for all the superior long boarders, what length would you recommend for a longboard with good carving ability, pretty agile but still with stability? The longboard I like is currently 41"...thanks guys!

It probably is agile. Stability comes from the rider. A stiff board is good for downhill though.

well since i dont know how tall you are, for the best stability when carving and/or sliding, put your feet just about shoulder width apart(a nice sturdy stance) and then get a board where the inside screws of the trucks are under your feet. i'm about 6ft so i would go with something around a 30 inch wheel base
