Why do we have to pee more often when it's cold outside?

Why do I have to pee so often now?

  • Hi, I'm a 14 year old girl and I just noticed recently that I've been peeing a lot more now... Like for most of my life before this on an average I would pee once when I woke up and maybe once randomly in the day and then I would usually just go pee before bed just to make sure I wouldn't have to get up. Now however, it's more frequent. Like for example, there was one day where I got up in the morning and went pee, and then we had a really important provincial exam right in the morning so I went pee before it, and then during the test I had to go pee again, and this was all before 11am!! Then later on at like 2 I had to go pee again, and then I'm pretty sure I went pee when I got home(maybe a few times or none, not really sure), and definitely before bed. All the while I didn't drink much, maybe a few sips of water and I had like half of a tiny cup of green tea. Keep in mind that this day was one of the more extreme examples, but on average I would say I go pee when I wake up, then usually when I get to school in the morning which is like 2 hours later and usually in my last or second last class which is at like 2:30 and then I''ll go maybe once more or twice at home, and then definitely before bed. When I go pee, it's also usually a lot and can take quite while, like longer than normally to pee. I also know that the amount you drink affects how often you pee but while I'm at school I really don't drink much at all but when I'm at home I drink more, which results in me peeing even more, and I do get thirsty quite often if that's important but I usually still don't drink that much like not enough o make me go pee this often. Also how much I have to go pee varies on day to day, like some days I'll be going more than others... It's not like so extreme all the time but it's definitely more often than usual. Thanks for reading that extremely long question and if you have any feedback it would be much appreciated!! :D Also btw there is no way I am pregnant so please don't suggest that...
