• So today I was filing out application online and I filled one out called Vector Marketing. 30min later they call me to set up an interview for tomorrow morning. I was a little odded out by how they called me, so I put my red flag up and went on Google. SCAM SCAM SCAM is all I hear, and then I hear that I have to buy knifes (which they never told me) to sell to people. Its commission work, but it seems really odd to me. They have an office in Ponce where I live, but still, I am thinking about not even going, it does not seem legit enough to me. Advice on this company???

  Vector no longer requires employees to buy their own sample kit of knives. You get a kit to use for free for the term of your employment. There are no up-front fees, however, the 3-day training is not paid. Around here, launched representatives get paid 14 dollars per appointment (and appointments can last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, at the most). The pay is guaranteed, regardless of whether or not you make a sale. You can make a commission on top of that, but you'll get the base pay no matter what. It's not a scam, but it is a sales position, so if talking with strangers makes you uncomfortable, then you might want to reconsider. While all of the appointments are arranged ahead of time with the customers, you will need to drive to their houses yourself, so that's something else to consider. Your schedule is also entirely up to you, so you can work as much or as little as you like. If you put forth the effort you can make a ton of cash, but if you're easily discouraged you might be better off in a retail job.
