How painful is scoliosis surgery and what's the aftermath of it?

Back is in serious pain, especially when i move my neck forward. Whats wrong?

  • I have been having back trouble for over a year now and am only 18. It's horrible and the last 6 months it really took a toll on how i live my life. I can barely do anything physical anymore without waking up the next day not begin able to move. I'm not overweight, i am 6 foot and 162 pounds. When i lay down then get up my back really hurts and takes a little while to get it feeling right when walking. If i barely twist my body it really hurts. If i move my neck down just the slightest bit than my whole entire back hurts (even the ribs). I have mild scoliosis so it's not that. My spine is barely out of place. However, after some X-rays, my right hip is really messed up. It looked a lot different than my other one and the orthopedic said there isn't much you can do for it (until surgery when your older). I have spent hundreds from going to the chiropractor so i'm getting tired of a temporary fix and want a fully fixed back so i don't have to go back all the time. Does anyone know what this could be or have any advice on what you would do?

  • Answer:

If you've had consistent pain for a year now,it might be a pinched nerve or disk.
