Is it safe to use voltage transformers?
-
I’m from USA. I will be traveling to Pakistan and Spain in couple of days. I can’t live without my Chi hair straighter ( it’s 120V). I was thinking perhaps if I bought a voltage converter. Although I’m afraid to fry my chi and I’m afraid to use voltage transformer. Is it safe to use voltage transformer?

Answer:
Yes. Spain and Pakistan use 220V, so you'll have to buy a step down transformer (220V-to-110V) if you don't want to fry your hair straighter.

Transformers are very safe, but you should buy one that has the necessary power cord to plug it in to the outlet and an output socket that is the same as that used in the US.
