Value Investing, Rebalancing, BuyonDips, Dollar Cost Averaging, Asset allocation strategies combining into one?

  • I am facing problem in combining these strategies. Value Investing, Rebalancing, BuyonDips, Dollar Cost Averaging, Asset allocation, diversification strategies combining into one. Does any one has better strategy? I have a strategy. After reading this, suggest a best strategy better than mine. 1) For Value Investing buy Berkshire Hathaway and keep it at 50% of your portfolio. This way you dont need to buy multiple stocks. You dont need to manage them. All you need to do is just manage one stock. 2) Dollar Cost Averaging/Value Cost Averaging, you can manage this buy buying 50% cash and 50% Berkshire every month. 3) Buy on Dips, each 5% Berkshire fell down, move 10% cash to berkshire. 4) Re-balancing, each 5% Berkshire moves up, sell 5% of stocks and move it to cash. 5) Asset Allocation: 50% cash and 50% stocks, and inside stocks remaining asset allocation give it to berkshire 6) Diversification: Give it to Berkshire to manage your diversification. Do you have better strategy than me? i am challenging your intellect. apply your brain and post your ideas.

  • Answer:

That's retarded. Just buy a balanced mutual fund and let them do it for you. You will be paying spreads and taxes all over everywhere (there is also the issue of fractional shares of BRK).
