How can I put a picture of myself on my avatar or profile?

How to put avatar on profile picture?

I went on edit preferences and then chose the avatar i want. I clicked save changes but it keeps showing that orange background with a white exclamation Mark. I already made my avatar it just won't change! Please help thanks! And i'm using the profile pic for yahoo answers i'm changing it on that one.

First, you must change your profile from hidden to public or your avatar won't show. To do that:Click your avatar, click view pulse click settings top line. Under privacy click manage privacy settings uncheck hide my profile Click save. Then. You could choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar Cartoon, this way is fast, straight forward and easy. Go below, create your avatar and save.
