I changed the clothes/appearance/background on my avatar and tried to update it and Yahoo! just gives me...?

...the general colored exclamation mark in place of my avatar. It won't let me change it back to my avatar person. The avatar changes themselves changed fine, but it won't appear on Y!A. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a reason for this that anyone knows of? If so, how can I fix it? Thanks!

You have your yahoo profile set to be hidden. Go here : http://profiles.yahoo.com And use the gear at the top right to change your setting. Use other options there to make yourself more private.

Do you understand what it means to 'Hide your profile'? It means to hide your face & as you have elected to hide your profile your picture will remain hidden.You have to uncheck that option before you can get a picture avatar & leave it unchecked.

You HAVE to tell the system to SAVE THE CHANGES to your avatar,. Computers )amd MANY computer illiterate people) are VERY DUMB. You have to tell the system to SAVE THE CHANGES TO YOUR AVATAR.
