How to hook up my computer to my hdtv?

I bought a new computer and i want to use my tv as a monitor . I connected them with hdmi cable . I cant find a good resolution even the one that is rtecomanded isnt great . my monitor s specs are 1920x1080 pixels 60Hz and an aspec ratio of 16:9

If your computer supports HDMI out, it should just be a simple plug and play. Tune the TV to the HDMI output. You might have to change your resolution down.
