How do I free up space on an Ipod Touch?

What's the difference between the Ipod touch generation 3 & 4. And how much space does 8gb holds?

• This may sound stupid, but I recently bought Ipod touch 8gb. Don't know much about it other than what I read online. I don't understand these technology terms and what it means or asking of me. I'm learning little by little. I mostly want for to listen music, watch videos, play games. and take pictures. How do i find out, what generations I have 3 or 4. And Also, how much space 8gb holds or what is the best gb for these features I mentioned above. Now, I'm finding out, that I need to connect to WIFI network. I don't even know, what connections that I need or even have or what it does and is it free. I'm started to think, maybe this isn't for me. Everyday, I'm hearing something about Ipods, what needs, good and bad. All, I wanted, is to find something small to take with me where ever I go and enjoy listening to music, watch videos, play games. and take some pictures of nature, waterfall, and etc..while I'm take a stroll in my wheelchair. Just like, everyone used for there walks, running, and etc... Please help, any advice will appreciated. Good or bad. Thank you.

  Ok, first of all your iPod is a 4g. The 3 doesn't have a camera. Secondly, I ran out of room on my 8 gb so I had to buy a 32. I didnt even have any movies or videos on it, so if you intend on downloading those then 32gb or higher would be better You will also need to download iTunes onto your computer. iTunes is the program that lets you buy music and put it onto your iPod. Wifi is free on your iPod if you have wifi in your house. Hope this helps and good luck!
