What lenses will fit an older canon film camera?

What lenses will fit on my camera? Canon XSI 450D?

  • I have a canon eos rebel XSI 450D  (XSI 450D) what other lenses can fit on my camera? I heard the 1000D can fit .. But what other ones? I want to Make sure because I don't want to buy a 100$ camera lense (probably gonna end up being more) and won't even fit ( I plan on buying it online therefore I can't see if it fits) please help

    Huh? You heard the 1000D can fit...on your 450D? The 1000D is a camera, not a lens...lol. I also have the 450D. It has an EF mount, so you can use ALL...Canon EF and EF-S lenses. And it is also compatible with third party lenses (Tokina, Tamron, Sigma, etc) with Canon mount and designed for use on an APS-C sensor camera. You can't get a good telephoto lens for $100...no way. The only decent lens (optically) but very cheaply built, is a prime lens like the EF 50mm f/1.8 II...at a cost of under US$120. The below link should answer all your questions. Moat canon cameras have a standard mount which many lenses use. I use sigma lenses as well as canon lenses on my rebel model. As long as the mount is the same the lens will work just fine.
