Can you rent a state park in Connecticut?

Looking for a quiet northwestern Florida state park? ?

• My mother and I want to travel to Florida sometime around mid-August and I think we might stay in a cabin at Topsail Hill or Grayton beach state park, but it is still very up in the air as to where we should go. We love to go to the beach and relax. We both love the outdoors and neither of us like crowds at all. We want a quiet beach with as little people as possible. Usually, we go to st. Andrews state park and we loved it, but sadly, they do not rent cabins, so we are looking elsewhere. Which park would be best for us, or if there are any other parks that fit the descriptions, please let me know. We will be coming from the north Mississippi area, so we don't want to travel any farther south than st. Andrews. All answers are appreciated! Thanks!

  I don't know if this meets your criteria, but take a look at Henderson State park in destin on 'floridastateparks.org'. We haven't stayed there, but we stay in the area because we also don't like crowds. It appears from their website that they do rent cabins. It's a beautiful area and the time of year you are going is perfect for less crowds. There is grocery etc. nearby and wonderful restaurants. A lot of traffic on the main road though, sadly it's not as isolated as it once was. But still less crowded than other areas. Good luck and enjoy!!
