Are bed bugs ever black?

Do bed bugs ever just go away?

• So I found a bug crawling on our couch, killed it no big deal, a few days later, i see another one crawling on my blanket on the same couch. I look at it, and google it, turns out it is a bed bug (later got confirmation from a friend). so we tore the house apart trying to find the source ( i assumed it was the couch) got rid of the couch, we have not found where they came from and haven't seen anymore in about a week. is it possible that we got it before it became an infestation or should we continue to look further? i've never dealt with them before! **** side not: we are pretty sure it came from an item we purchased off the internet so be careful****

  You need to treat for them and do it every couple of days because you can kill the bugs but not the eggs that hatch every three or so days. I would call an exterminator for help.
