Is Baking Soda Good For Whitening Teeth?

Whitening teeth with baking soda help?

  • Ok so, I just got my braces off and my teeth are a little stained from the cement or something else that they used. I just want to get my teeth a little whiter and get rid of any staining. I've heard in multiple places that baking soda is a cheep way to do so. I just need to know if I should use it every night, twice a week, or how ever often for the best results. My other question is that how do I use it. I heard some place that you coat your tooth brush in it and rush your teeth like normal, then rinse and then brush them with toothpaste. Is this right? If not, how do I use it? Thanks for anyone who helps out ^.^

  • Answer:

    1) the cement used in braces will NOT discolor teeth, its how you took care of your teeth that discolor them... Any white spots will never go away those are decalcification areas when your plaque ate away at your enamal... 2) use Crest Optic White, best whitening tooth paste I have yet to find. 3) swish with peroxide couple times weekly. Do not swallow and use only couple days a week or your gums will whiten as well

Look on computer about strawberries mixed with baking soda. That is a cheap way. There is a chemical in the strawberries combined with the baking soda.
