Oh dear....the old "I have never met a poor Jew" type mentality? .........Live in the second largest community in the UK.......MOST liberal people are more middle class, but a lot of the more orthodox, which is a growing population are poorer, due to having large families etc and find it hard to manage the upkeep of big houses......HOWEVER, they tend to be taken care of by their own community, combined with social security payments.......A well known face, in the city centre, among the homeless community happens to be Jewish......Can happen to anyone?!

I live in Australia, and have never ever met a Jew that doesn't have wads of hundred dollar bills in his pockets... So no, I have never met a poor Jew.

Some even WANT to be poor. Check out the Shtetl movement (no longer vivid today) or Kiryas Joel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiryas_Joel,_New_York

Uh, well the reason most jews are rich is because God blesses them. But they are normal people, poor jews and middle class jews exist. I'm a jew and I'm not rich, just normal plus I know many normal jews too.
