How To Learn Computer Hardware?

What book do i need to buy to learn computer programming?i mean software and hardware....?

I never been to computer school but i have little knowledge about computer and i want learn more about it but dont want to go to any computer training...i was hoping if i could get a computer book and stay at home and learn the praticals.. thank you

Well it depends on what you're looking for. There are some great general computer science courses that you can take for free online from Udacity.com or Coursera which hosts the courses for Stanford. For both you get a certificate if you complete the course. If you want to learn on your own with books I highly recommend Learn Python the Hard Way or any of the other variations. This will get you used to the basic practicals of programming (paying attention to colons, parentheses etc.) before you jump in to learning about things like recursion and algorithms.
