Is the apple app store working?

I have an apple iPod touch 2nd gen. A little while ago, I went to download a free app, and it popped up on my home screen. However, it didn't load and disappeared within about ten seconds. Although, this went back to normal a couple hours later, and I was able to download a few apps. Now, about one or two days ago, I tried to download a free app, but it did the same thing: disappear without loading. This problem isn't solved yet. I have plenty of space, so I know that isn't the problem, but what is? Is the app store even working, or is it only acting up like this on mine? How should I fix it? Please let me know soon if this is happening to you and/or how I should fix it. Thank you!

It's working but sometimes when you buy certain apps it doesn't work it does that for my too so yeah
