What longboard should i get?

  • so I really like the idea of a longboard and have decided to get one. the only problem is I don't know which one to get!! I've done loads of research on the internet ( reviews and in action) and I know they aren't that cheap. It's going to be my first longboard but I want a GOOD board so I won't start hating the sport because of the board. I surf and used to skate and was thinking in doing slides and carving and free ride, but i'm not sure which one i'd like better yet. so if you have any advice on boards and brands please do tell!

    this kindof depends on how much money you have to spend, how tall you are, and how much you weigh so im just going to assume ur about average for all of those. if you have money to spend, get either a loaded board or and original apex(all of the apex boards are good). some good kindof "middle ground" as far as price goes i think would be either and arbor axis or gravity makai. if you are looking for something on the cheaper end i think i would go with a sector 9 carbon decay or drifter. and just to clarify, the sector 9 boards not cheaply made just cheaply priced. check out daddiesboardshop.com for the best prices and silverfishlongboarding.com for any questions and reviews.

Get a skateboard, they are a lot more fun and you can go way farther in the sport, progress faster and no trekking up big *** hills. You can do everything on a skateboard as you can on a long board plus a million other tricks, and its a lot cheaper.

Well, its a fact that sector 9, landyachtz, and loaded long boards are the tip notch in the market. The sector 9 bob marley series is worth taking a look at. Another brand which is good but not excelent is arbor. Im still tryin ta decide my self :D

Seriously ask on Silverfish. Most of the people on Yahoo Answers know nothing about longboarding... http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/ I would suggest looking at Earthwing, Landyachtz, or Comet.
