What is the best way to prepare for TOEFL or IELTS?

Does TOEFL and IELTS have very different vocabulary set?

i think the title said all. i have a flash card of essential words of IELTS. but i want to prepare myself for TOEFL i want to know if i should buy new TOEFL cards or the IELTS is complete enough for me. thanks in advance.
