Where are the factories that make chocolates?

Why doesn't the FDA close the factories that make the bad food?

  • like factories that make junk food and all the fast food places. If the big issue is millions mill be without jobs then couldn't they replace the factories with farms that grow fruits and veggies? what other reason is there? BTW if this became true i would be angry. It just seems like simple logic. you know, they tell us what's bad for us but they do nothing about it so we can still get the bad stuff.

    Because as Americans, we are allowed to make unhealthy choices. The food places are only required to make the us aware of how unhealthy are choices are by providing nutritional information to those who care to pay attention. It's the FDA's job to ensure food meets certain standards, not eliminate all unhealthy choices. If you feel the government should make all your choices for you, move to North Korea.

It is called FREEDOM! Do you REALLY want the government to tell you what you HAVE to eat, drink, read, or even do? You don't have to buy OR eat things that are supposedly bad for you. It is called common sense and moderation. Last time I was at the grocery store, they still sold fruits, veggies, and other healthy foods. It is up to YOU to decide what to get. For example, I only eat fast food once or twice a year, because I like them every now and then. The rest of the time I prefer to cook my own foods so I know what I am eating...AND it is MY choice what I eat when I eat.
