How do i open my videos from a dvd -rw disc on my computer?

How can I transfer the video in a DVD RW ( the mini ones) to my computer and to a DVD disc?

• I have the USB connector. I have a Sony handycam. I can't seem to figure out how to transfer the videos in the DVD-RW to a dvd disc. I need to transfer the video to my computer so i can edit it. Do I have to finalize the the DVD-RW? Or is there another solution to this?

  The solution lies where most problems can be resolved...the owners manual. If you have lost yours, look on-line. Most are somewhere under the category of service/support/ or downloads. In general, video from a disk that has not been closed/finalized has to go through the camera and use software that shipped with the camera. Once a disk has been finalized, it can be played on compatible disk players, but may still require camera specific software to capture for editing.
