How do I install a large Wordpress theme?

  • I bought a Wordpress theme that is 9mb, which must be large by Wordpress standards because the upload keeps failing. It isn't telling me that the theme is too large but when I've tried to upload themes before that were around 2mb Wordpress told me that they were too large. \ So is there another way to upload a big theme?

You can try removing files that arent needed too before uploading. Typically like a screenshot, some psds, or images for a theme setting that you will never use. But the best way is to do it in cpanel or FTP.

Hi, you shoud try contacting your Hosting Provider to increase the size of your php_ini file if you are getting errors while uploading a theme inside Wordpress. If you are uploading via FTP, try using http://filezilla-project.org/

Are you on your server or wordpress server? if you are on your own shared hosting then you can do this by FTP program. if you are on wordpress server you should not buy theme bigger that 2 mb contact theme seller
