What can I do about my allergies at night?

Why do my sinuses or allergies act up only at night?

• For some reason I get allergies or sinus problems at night! It's happened for years, since I was a little girl. 4 years ago, we moved from an all carpet apartment to an all floor townhouse. I thought that maybe it was the carpet that made my nose runny and stuffy at night. Once we moved, it left for a while, but it came back. I never really thought it was a big deal until recently it just got to me and got me annoyed, I'm always sneezing and one side of my nose is stuffy so I have to stick a Vicks inhaler up my nose. I can't sleep with the fan on cause that makes it even worse! And I know it's not my dog, cause before we moved here and got him, I still had the allergies. Also, it's not just in my house, it's everywhere. If I sleep over my friends house, I still get it. If I'm out eating at night, I still get it and when I'm driving, I still get it!!! What can I do? Will allergy pills work? Please help!!!

  My teacher once told us that usually they act up at night cuz you're laying down and your head is sideways and it sorta causes the mucus to run up into the nose, but idk. That's the only thing I can think of. Hope It helped!
